Étienne Calla (1760-1835) was a French engineer.
He had been a pupil and friend of Jacques de Vaucanson.
He established a factory in Paris to make textile machinery, and was awarded a gold medal in 1827 for his mechanised loom.
1820 Calla established a foundry at 18 rue de Faubourg-Poissoniere, later moving to No. 92.
1835 Étienne's son, François Calla, took over the management of the business.
