1877 Patent. '4702. To Roland Harrington, of the firm of F. Harrington and Company, of Stewart-street, Wolverhampton, in the county of Stafford, Bicycle Manufacturers, for the invention of "improvements in the construction of bicycles, tricycles, and similar vehicles."'[1]

1879 Bankruptcy. '...Liquidation by Arrangement or Composition with Creditors, instituted by Roland Harrington and Walter Harrington, of the Desideratum Works, Stewart-street, Wolverhampton, in the county of Stafford, Bicycle Manufacturers, trading as Harrington and Co....'[2]
