1956 News item. '...negotiations had been completed for the letting of the 25,000 square-feet factory to F. M. Aspin (Tools), Ltd. (Northern Ireland), a subsidiary of F. M. Aspin and Co., Ltd., of Elton, Bury. It is anticipated that employment will ultimately be provided for at least 200 men...The Lancashire firm is engaged in the manufacture of machine tools and power saws....'[3]
