1837 The firm of Foster and Williams was founded.

1899 At the time of his death William Robert Foster was a partner in Foster and Williams as well as Heinke and Co.

1901 Amalgamated with C. E. Heinke and Co and all operations concentrated at the Grange Road establishment.
