HOFMAN will SELL by AUCTION, (By Order of the Proprietors), on the Premises, on MONDAY August 27, 1838, at Twelve o'clock (if not previously disposed of by Private Contract), A SIX-HORSE POWER HIGH PRESSED STEAM ENGINE, SELF-ACTING LATHE, with 20 FEET of BED ; FOOT-LATHE, with Sliding Rest and Gear, for Cutting Screws, a Pair of Double Jack Screws, Double and Single Power Winches, Sliding Rest, Three and Two-fold Iron Blocks, Snatch Ditto, 30 Fathom of Chain, Lathe Heads, Top and Bottom Swages, Fullers and Flats, Anvils, Vices, Bellows, Furnace Bars, Bolt Tools, Chissels, Mandrils, Taps, Dies and Stocks, Smiths' Tongs, Hammers, and a variety of Tools adapted for Steam Engine and Boiler Manufacturers, Smiths, &c. May be viewed on the Saturday previous, and Morning of Sale; Catalogues had on the Premises, and of Mr. Hofman, Auctioneer and Appraiser, 21, Upper St. Martin's-lane.'
