Francis Percy Hyde Beadle (1889-1943) A.F.R.Ae.S., Aeronautical Engineer.
1889 Born in London, s. of Charles Hyde Beadle.[1]
Educated at Bedford Modern School
Training at The Hartley Eng. Coll., Southampton; and Pupil at S. E. Saunders, Ltd., Cowes, I.O.W.
Worked at Balloon Factory, Farnborough
Joined Lt. E. C. Perry, R.F.C., on experimental aircraft work as Perry, Beadle and Co; designed and built the Perry-Beadle Flying Boat exhibited at Olympia in 1914.
WWI Joined Norman Thompson Flight Co., Bognor, and was responsible for all designs carried out, as well as much experimental work for the Air Board.
Later moved to the Gosport Aircraft Co
1919 Married[2]
Became Chief Designer, S. E. Saunders, Ltd., Cowes. Designed the Kittiwake. He was the first British designer to use Composite "I" struts on a large machine.
c.1929 Went to Canada
Worked for Central Aircraft Company.
1943 Died in West Missouri Township, Ontario, Canada[3]
