1849 Advert: 'TO IRON FOUNDERS AND OTHERS. TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION, by Mr. J. M. POTT, on the premises lately occupied by Mr. Francis Wakefield as Ironfounders, and situate at Cinder Hill, in the Parish of Basford, about three miles from the Town of Nottingham, THURSDAY, the 12th July, 1849, at 11 o'clock a.m.,
ALL the VALUABLE MACHINERY now on the said Premises, comprising, amongst other things, an excellent Ten-horse Power STEAM ENGINE and Twelve-horse BOILER, with all the fly wheels, wood and iron speed drums, shafting, strapping, bearers, and fixings thereto belonging ; also, a 27 feet Slide Lathe, with face-plates, pullies, and gearing complete; Turn- ing Lathe for Railway Wheels; Drilling and Boring Machines, with gearing complete ; four Lathes and Tools ; two Blowing Fans; Grindstone and frame; large and small Cupolas and Blacking Mill; large and small Cranes, Chains, and Cast Beams; Punching Engine; Coup, and the Entire Plant of Tools and Apparatus in the Foundry.
The Property will be offered for unreserved Sale, and will be Sold as it at present stands, and to removed by and at the expense of the purchasers.
