"FRANK CASTLE was engaged for most of his professional career in South Africa, where his death occurred on 19th October 1948, in his sixty-eighth year. During his apprenticeship, which he served from 1894 to 1900 with [[Tangyes|Messrs. Tangyes, Ltd.]], of Birmingham, he attended various technical schools in that city. After carrying out experimental work in connexion with gas and oil engines and electric plant for [[Pinkney and Son|Messrs. Pinkney and Son]], of Smethwick, for three years, he became assistant engineer and chief draughtsman to [[Cadbury Brothers|Messrs. Cadbury Brothers, Ltd]]., at Bourneville. In 1911 he resigned this post and went to South Africa, where he spent the remainder of his career. He was associated for many years with [[British Insulated Cables|Messrs. "FRANK CASTLE was engaged for most of his professional career in South Africa, where his death occurred on 19th October 1948, in his sixty-eighth year. During his apprenticeship, which he served from 1894 to 1900 with Messrs. Tangyes, Ltd., of Birmingham, he attended various technical schools in that city. After carrying out experimental work in connexion with gas and oil engines and electric plant for Messrs. Pinkney and Son, of Smethwick, for three years, he became assistant engineer and chief draughtsman to Messrs. Cadbury Brothers, Ltd., at Bourneville.
