"FRANK CLUBLEY SLEIGHT was born in 1902 and received his education at Hull Municipal Technical College.
After serving his apprenticeship from 1916 to 1923 with Messrs. Barker and Aspey, engineers and ironfounders, of Hull, he continued in their employment as a fitter for a further two years. He then filled positions in Hull as millwright at Messrs. Bartons' seed-crushing mills and as junior engineer to Messrs. J. V. Coonan, Ltd. Since 1930 he had been maintenance engineer to Messrs. Pancreol, Ltd., chemical manufacturers, of Ripponden. Mr. Sleight, whose death occurred on 5th July 1947, became a Student of the Institution in 1924, and was transferred to Graduateship in 1927 and to Associate Membership in 1935."
