1971 Obituary [1]

Frank Herbert Slade (Member) died on 5th Feb. He was one of this country's leading technical writers contributing to the majority of better-class journals on differing aspects of engineering from the mid-1930's with interruption for War service. Translations of his work were made all over the world including the USSR, South America and Japan. He was the author of several technical booklets and sections in various reference books, such as Newnes Engineering Reference Book, Food Industries Manual, Mechanical World Year Book. He also wrote Food Processing Plant, Vols I and II. Vol I is in the Institution Library and Vol II will be published posthumously in May.
