FRANK STILEMAN, born at Grange-over-Sands, Lancashire, in 1851, died in London on the 14th June, 1912.
Educated at Harrow, Hanover, and King's College, London, he was employed on the construction of docks at Barrow-in-Furness and later became Resident Engineer to the Furness Railway Company.
In 1889 he commenced consulting practice in London and in that capacity was responsible for works on the Thames, at Cardiff, in the Bristol Channel, Firth of Forth, Eastbourne, and Morecambe Bay. He was Consulting Engineer to the Furness Railway and other companies.
Mr. Stileman was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 29th May, 18'7'7, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 1st May, 1883.
