FREDERICK STANLEY LARKIN had a long experience in the gas industry and was for very many years in the service of the Gas Light and Coke Company.
He was born in 1875 and served his apprenticeship from 1893 to 1898 with Messrs. Wood and Ledward, agricultural and condensing engineers. He also attended the Goldsmiths' Institute, New Cross.
After a short period as draughtsman with the Bryan Donkin Company of Bermondsey, Mr. Larkin was appointed assistant mechanical engineer at the Beckton station of the Gas Light and Coke Company.
In 1908 he was appointed local manager at Fulham, and in 1929 was made manager of the reconstructed stove works at Fulham.
He had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1901.
His death occurred on 9th January 1932.
