FREDERICE WILLIAM MAUNSELL, M.A., son of Mr. John Maunsell, J.P., of Edenmore, Raheny, Co. Dublin, was born on the 28th of January, 1859.
After being educated at St. Columba's College, Rathfarnham, he graduated at Trinity College, Dublin.
He then went through the three years' course at the Royal Indian Engineering College, Coopers Hill, from which he was appointed an Assistant Engineer, 2nd grade, in the Public Works Department of the Government of India in September, 1881.
After twelve months' practical training in the works of Sir W. G. Armstrong, Mitchell and Company at Newcastle-on-Tyne, Mr. Maunsell proceeded to India and was posted in November, 1882, to the Punjab Irrigation Branch....[more]
