GKN Screws and Fasteners

1962 As part of the reorganization of the company's activities concerning, nuts, bolts, screws, fasteners etc., a new company was formed GKN Bolts and Nuts; the existing Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds (Midlands) was renamed GKN Screws and Fasteners[1]

1966 One of 7 groups in GKN after reorganisation; it included:

1975 GKN formed a new sub-group of the company called GKN Fasteners. This brought together GKN's European manufacturing units involved in fasteners, builders hardware and allied products[2]

1981 GKN Screws and Fasteners was one of many British companies which announced redundancies[3]

1982 Due to falling demand, the screws and fasteners division was merged with the fastener distribution business, trading under the name GKN Fasteners[4]
