1882 The company was registered on 28 June (and later held the entire share capital of the London Hydraulic Power Co, and the Liverpool Hydraulic Power Co). [1]
Edward Bayzand Ellington, having played a prominent role in the formation of the company, was appointed general manager and engineer.
The General Hydraulic Power Company formed subsidiary companies to supply power to Liverpool (in 1889), Manchester (in 1894) and Glasgow (in 1895).
1914 Supplies hydraulic motive power for all purposes from street mains on the high pressure system. [2]
1961 Merged with Aldous and Campbell.
Became the GHP Group.
