1924 Private company formed - presumably General Radiological Surgical Apparatus Co Ltd[1]

1929 General Radiological Ltd was incorporated[2]

1936 Name changed.

1940 Company established.

1949 Murphy Radio acquired General Radiological Ltd and Solus-Schall Ltd, concerned with manufacture of X-ray equipment, and partially amalgamated them[3]. Also acquired Solus Electronic Tubes which made the X-ray tubes.

1951 Maker of X-ray tubes; vacuum tubes; high-voltage rectifying valves; glass-to-metal seals.

1960 Had supplied nuclear instrumentation to all of the nuclear power stations in the UK[4]

1961 Manufacturers of medical X-ray, electro-medical equipment and nuclear health instruments. 350 employees. [5]

1963 Company voluntarily wound up[6], the activities being carried on by other parts of the Rank Organisation
