1916 Obituary [1]

GEOFFREY HENRY JENNER MELLSOP, born in New Zealand on the 20th March, 1888, died on the 15th May, 1916, from injuries received in a quarry accident.

He entered the service of the Public Works Department as an engineering cadet in 1906, and was appointed Assistant Engineer in 1910. He was engaged on the survey and construction of railways and roads, and on harbour defences, until the date of his untimely death.

Mr. Mellsop was elected an Associate Member on the 9th March, 1915.
