We regret to announce the death of Mr. George Brown, formerly the able manager of the Bessemer department of the works of Sir John Brown and Co., of Sheffield, and subsequently the founder of the large works at Attercliffe, now belonging to Messrs. Brown, Bayley, Dixon, and Co. (Limited), of which company he was a director.

Mr. George Brown was a nephew of Sir John Brown, and his death took place on Monday evening last at his residence at Pitsmoor.
