c1846 Born at Exeter the son of John Worthy Colson‎‎

1851 Living at 3 Baring Crescent, Heavitree, Exeter: J. W. Colson (age 54 born Exeter), Merchant. With his wife Emma, nine daughters and sons John Worthy Colson (age 6) and George Colson (age 5).[1]

1871 Married at Kensington to Rebecca Burch

1891 Living at 25 Wonford Road, St. Leonards, Exeter: George Colson (age 45 born Heavitree), Merchant - Employer. With his wife Rebecca Colson (age 48 born Heavitree) and their son Arthur G. Colson (age 8 born St. Thomas).[2]
