1811 Born in Edinburgh, brother of Thomas Glover

1851 George Glover 40, surgeon, lived in Edinburgh with Mary Anne Glover 36 James Glover 11, David G Glover 9, George R Glover, 7 John A Glover 5, Mary Ann G Glover 4 Months[1]

1860 Presumably founded George Glover and Co, gas meter manufacturers

1861 Patent application by George Glover, of 8, Queen's-square, in the county of Middlesex, in respect of the invention of "improvements in apparatus used in measuring gas."[2]

1861 Patent to George Glover, of No. 8, Queen-square,Westminster, for the invention of "improvements in gas meters and pneumatometers."[3]

1864 Patent application by George Glover, of the Ranelagh Works, Ranelagh-road, Pimlico, in the county of Middlesex, respect of the invention of "improvements in drygas meters."[4].
