1853 Advert: 'Partnership dissolved between Joseph Hopkinson and George Grime, of Manchester, machine and tool makers, 20th Aug.'[1]

1855 Advert: 'EXCELLENT PLANING MACHINE, to plane 6 feet long by 3 feet wide and deep, self-acting in all its cuts. A very strong 10½ inch back-geared LATHE, with or without 8 feet bed. A bench Drilling Machine, to work by hand power. New and Improved Manndrill Blocks, and few single purchase Lifting Crabs, and universal Drilling Cramps. All new and the best workmanship.
