GEORGE KING HARRISON died at his residence at Hagley, on April 16, 1906, at the age of eighty years. He had a long association with prominent industries of the Black Country.
With Mr. William King Perrens he carried on fireclay works for many years at Cradley and Lye, and also at Wilnecote in Warwickshire, where they had collieries. The Nagersfield colliery at Brettall Lane was developed by him. He was one of the prime movers in the scheme for giving Stourbridge and Birmingham direct railway communication.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1876.
