1832 George Mcintosh Neilson was born in Barony, son of James Beaumont Neilson and his wife Barbara Montgomerie[1]

1864 Retired from Neilson Brothers

1880 of Ardrossan when he died; his executors included his brothers in law William Simons, ship builder of Renfrew, and John Neilson, ironmaster[2]
