Early 1850s: entered into partnership with George Simpson to sell scientific apparatus and fine chemicals.

The company became Simpson, Maule and Nicholson

1861 Manfacturing chemist, living in Newington, with Anne Maule 28, George Maule 5[2]

1868 Retired from business.

1871 Retired merchant, living in Brighton, with Anne Maule 38, George Maule 15, Annie Maule 17[3]

1890 Died in London[4]
