George Richardson Porter
1826 There is a reference to a George Porter/G. R. Porter attempting to supply the Royal Navy Victualling Board with a boiler and engine made to the patents of Ernst Alban, to be used in the Brewhouse at Deptford. However, the equipment was unsatisfactory and Porter was required to remove it[1]
1828 'Specification of the Patent granted to Joshua Taylor Beale, of Church-lane, Whitechapel, in the county of Middlesex, Engineer; and George Richardson Porter, of Old Broad Street, in the city of London, Merchant, for "a new mode of communicating Heat for various purposes". Dated July 19, 1828[2]
