1854 Company established by George Wright, George Wilton Chambers, a barrister, and Henry Crichley at Burton Weir, Sheffield, trading as Crichley, Wright and Co.
1861 Henry Crichley moved to Birmingham and left the firm which was continued by the other 2 partners[1]
1861 Company moved to Rotherham.
1863 Henry Crichley retired (sic) and title changed to George Wright and Co.
1884 George Wright retired. The business was continued by G. W. Chambers and his two sons, who were admitted partners.
1905 Incorporated as a limited company under present style.
1914 Stove grate manufacturers, general ironfounders and heating engineers. Specialities: patent Osborne grates, stove grates, tile hearths, ward stoves and ventilating grates; marble and wood chimney pieces; kitchen ranges; balusters, gates and railings; paving lights, fireplaces in armour bright (old English style), ventilating fireplaces and stoves.
