Chief engineer on the Mont Cenis Tunnel.[1]

1858 Patented the first compressed air drill, developed for use on the Mont Cenis Tunnel. One source states that Giovanni Battista Piatti preceded him [2], while another states that it was based on an idea by Thomas Bartlett[3]
