1843 The hotel has its origins in the hydropathic establishment established by Dr. William Paterson, inspired by the example of Vincent Priessnitz at Graefenberg
1890 The Glenburn Hydropathic Company Limited was incorporated. Following a fie in 1891, the building was replaced by a much larger establishment
1897 The company went into voluntary liquidation and a new company of the same name was set up
