WHEATLEY KIRK & PRICE WILL SELL by AUCTION, on Thursday and Friday, February 9th and 10th, 1871, commencing each day at Eleven o’clock prompt, on the premises known as the Great Northern Ironworks, situate at Newark-on-Trent, all those Valuable ENGINES, BOILER, TOOLS, MACHINERY, and EFFECTS, including capital 10-horse horizontal engine, first-rate condition; 12-horse single-flued Cornish boiler, with connections and mountings; slide and screw-cutting lathe, 10 1/2 in. centres, 15ft, bed, with compound rest, driving apparatus, &c.; hand lathe, 6in. centres, on iron bed; slotting machine, 8in. stroke, by Lowry; shaping machine, 9in. stroke; upright drilling machine, admits 40in. diameter, by Lowry; screwing machine and appurtenances, by Craven Brothers ; plate-bending machine, with three rollers, 8ft. 2in. by llin.; three wall, pillar, & bench drilling machines ; punching and shearing machines, large quantity of shafting, pulleys, & gearing; grindstones, blast fans, smiths’, fitters’, and boilermakers’ tools and appliances; engine castings, strappings, patterns, benches, trolleys, &c.; stock new iron, rivets, bolts, &c.; splendid new 10-horse Portable Steam Engine, with two 7in. cylinders, of most modern design, beautifully finished ; office furniture, and other numerous effects.— May be viewed that day preceding and mornings of sale.—Catalogues of the Auctioneers, 33, Princess Street, Manchester.'
