HAROLD WALKER was born in Hull in 1901, and attended Hull Secondary School and Leeds University.
He was apprenticed with Messrs. Rose, Downs and Thompson of Hull and Messrs. Crossley Brothers of Openshaw.
He then went abroad as divisional assistant on a Borneo rubber estate, and later as assistant engineer on the erection of rubber machinery and power plant for Messrs. Guthrie and Company of Singapore.
Later he became assistant mechanical engineer at the municipal workshops at Penang, Straits Settlements, where he died on 30th April 1929.
Mr. Walker became a Graduate of the Institution in 1921, and was transferred to Associate Membership in 1928.
