1971 Obituary [1]

Harry Samuel Day Administration Manager of the Institution, died suddenly on October 8, in his 59th year. After 10 years with the Standard Motor Company Mr Day joined Courtaulds Ltd in 1946. He became a Director of the Chemicals Division and of many subsidiary companies of Courtaulds, his work involving rationalisation, re-organisation, management accounting and the economic appraisal of new projects.

For domestic reasons he resigned in 1967 and joined the Institution staff in May 1969. He was an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries.
