Engineers, of Sun Foundry, Leeds, successor to Carrett, Marshall and Co which closed in 1870.

1873 Henry Davey was the manager of the business

1876 Pumping Machinery at the Erin Colliery, Westphalia, Germany.[1]

Abells of Derby set up a Works in Leeds for Henry Davey. Davey's differential pumping engine was such a success that more capital was needed to expand and that was provided by Colonel Hathorn, Davey's lifelong friend.[2]
