1981 The Proprietors of Hay's Wharf was renamed Hays Group[1]

The property interests were all divested

1987 Hays Group, provider of transport and distribution services, chemical manufacturing, staff recruitment and graphic arts, was sold to its management[2]

1989 The company was listed on the Stock Market[3]

Hays Chemical Distribution Ltd was a subsidiary

2004 After ongoing falls in profits, Hays sold its DX Mail logistics business to concentrate on personnel services[4]
