1841 Born the son of Henry Wenden, a Schoolmaster, of Barnes, Surrey

1859 Entered Indian Railways and Agent, G.I.P. Railways, India, till 1906; Director of the same Railway since 1907; retired, 1906;

1881 Married Ada Henrietta Maria, d. of Major Edward Simpson

1911 Living at Summerhill, Woodham Road, Horsell, Surrey: Henry C. E. Wenden (age 69 born Barner, Surrey), Civil Engineer, Railway Director G.I.P. Railway. With his wife Ada.[1]

1915 Address: Summerhill, Horsel, near Woking, Surrey. Club: East India United Service.[2]
