Henry Grazebrook (1818-1883)
1883 Obituary [1]
MR. HENRY GRAZEBROOKE, who died at his residence, Stourbridge, on the 13th February 1883, was born in 1818, and educated partly in Staffordshire and partly at the University of Glasgow. For a number of years he was an East India merchant in Liverpool.
Somewhat late in life he was called to superintend the extensive business concerns of Messrs. John Bradley & Co. at Stourbridge, in which capacity he took a prominent part in the deliberations of the South Staffordshire Wages and Conciliation Board.
He was one of the original members of the Institute, but never took any active part in its proceedings. Many members of the family from which Mr. Grazebrooke was descended have been connected with the South Staffordshire iron trade for more than a century past.
