Henry Hugh Wippell (c1842-1912) of J. Wippell and Co

Born at Exeter the son of Joseph Wippell, Woollen Draper and Hatter

1868 Married at Lambeth to Emma Gadd. His sister Anne married Henry Gadd

1881 Living at 45 St. David's Hill, Exeter: Henry Hugh Wippell (age 39 born Exeter), Woollen Draper and Church Furnisher employing 34 men, 10 women and 7 boys. With his wife Jane, two sons and two daughters.[1]

1891 Living at 45 St. David's Hill, Exeter: Henry H. Wippell (age 49 born Exeter), Outfitter and Church Furniture Manufacturer. With his wife Jane, four sons and four daughters.[2]

1909/10 Mayor of Exeter.[3]

1911 Living at Ivy Bank, St David's Hill, Exeter: Henry Hugh Wippell (age 69 born Exeter), Manufacturing Church Furniture and Clerical Requisites. With his wife Isabella and four children.[4]
