1819 Born in Sheffield the son of John Nowill and his wife Elizabeth Spencer

1851 Henry Newill 31, cutley manufacturer, employing 50 men and boys in conjunction with other partners, lived in Ecclesall Bierlow with Margret Newill 31, Frank Newill 8, Fanny Newill 5, Harrison Newill 3, Walter John Newill 1[1]

1860 With 4 brothers took charge of the family firm
