Incorporated as a private Limited Company in 1893.

1914 Directors: Henry Workman, Francis N. Workman, and Frank E. Workman. Has steadily progressed since commencement. Premises: The main mill was entirely destroyed by fire in 1911 with all the machinery, tools, stock, &c. New Mill covers over five acres. Staff: About 150, more during the timber felling season. Specialities: The conversion of all descriptions of English Timber, chiefly English Oak, of which they hold a large stock, all seasoned wood. Connection: United Kingdom, chiefly. Goods such as Railway Keys made for export.
