1911 Living at 5 Knoll Gardens, Sandgate, Kent: Herbert Charles Maltby (age 27 born South Hackney), Engineer- Motor Works. With his wife Annie Maltby (age 21 born Fife).[1]

1939 Listed at Alton, Hants, as a Marine Engineer.[2]
