1822 Hetton Coal Co.

1850s Hetton Coal Co. (Hon. A. Cochrane & Partners)

1910 the Lambton Collieries company merged with Hetton Collieries to form Lambton and Hetton Collieries.

1911 Lambton and Hetton Collieries

1923 Lambton, Hetton and Joicey Collieries Ltd.

1947 along with all of the other private coal companies of the United Kingdom, it was nationalised under the Coal Industry Nationalisation Act 1946 to form the National Coal Board.
