HUGH BARCLAY, who was well known in the English and Scottish iron trade, died on August 6, 1901, at Coatbridge. For many years he was connected with the Harrington Ironworks, Cumberland, but in 1891 he went to Coatbridge, where he took over the management of Messrs. Dixon's extensive ironworks.
He was a candidate for membership of the Iron and Steel Institute.
