1965 Public offer of shares in Hunting Associated Industries which conducted surveys and natural resources consultancy, technical and engineering marketing, and aviation support services[1] which had been part of the Hunting Group.

1971 Hunting Associated Industries was handling aircraft servicing, etc[2]

1978 EGMs of Hunting Gibson and Hunting Associated Industries agreed to put their oil and gas interests into a new company Hunting Petroleum Services [3]

1978 Formation of Hymarine Ltd with Yarrow and Co (55 percent Yarrow, 45percent Hunting); the new company designed and marketed specialist vessels with GRP hulls[4]

1987 The surveying and geophysics subsidiaries were wound down; the technical services business continued with its resource surveying work[5]; the company was later described as the "weapons group"[6]

1988 Maker of electronic systems for defence applications. Acquired Lynwood Scientific Developments, a private company, specialising in computer display terminals[7].

1988 Main sources of income were the runway bomb and anti-tank weapon[8]

1989 Hunting reabsorbed 3 companies which had been spun out of the group including Hunting Associated Industries[9]
