1978 The two companies Hunting Gibson and Hunting Associated Industries agreed to put their oil and gas interests into a new company Hunting Petroleum Services [1]

1981 Hunting Petroleum Services acquired Filtrate Ltd, which became part of Hunting Specialised Products, later Hunting Lubricants and Special Products.

1989 The Hunting Group reabsorbed 3 companies which had been spun out: Hunting Gibson, Hunting Associated Industries and Hunting Petroleum Services [2]
