Hydraulics and Pneumatics Ltd, of Stafford Road, Fordhouses, Wolverhampton, makers of commercial hydraulic systems

1949 Company incorporated, a subsidiary of Turner Manufacturing Co Ltd

1960s Used to exploit the parent company's expertise in aircraft hydraulics, by producing hydraulic cargo handling systems for marine use.

1964 First major order was for hydraulic valves for BP Tanker British Admiral

Further orders for other tankers for various oil companies and for tankers constructed in foreign yards.
