1961 Ideal-Standard shares traded on the Stock Exchange[1]

1963 Offered a low-line bath for the home[2]

1965 Annual results noted that the company was controlled by American Radiator and Standard Sanitary Corporation[3]. Introduced gas warm air heating which could also be used for air conditioning in summer[4]

1968 Ideal-Standard of Hull acquired Valor's cisterns, bathroom and soil pipe businesses[5]; these plastics companies would continue to operate as separate businesses

1968 Joint venture formed with Marshall and Anderson to make and sell high pressure and low pressure steel boilers[6]

1969 Acquired Copperad[7]

1970 Exited steel radiators when sold the business, acquired with Copperad, to Steel Radiators Ltd[8].

1970 Announced development of a commercial boiler for the European market, which had been constructed in integrated fashion on a single site, a first for this business [9]. Sold Soilpipes to Bartol Plastics[10]

1974 Sold Copperad to Myson[11]

1976 Sold the domestic and industrial boiler business to Metal Box Co[12].
