Ipsen Industries Inc, maker of high-temperature vacuum furnaces.

1948 Harold Ipsen founded the business making thermal processing equipment.

1981 Abar was acquired by TI

1985 Abar Corporation (founded 1960) acquired the Ipsen Companies and changed the name to Abar Ipsen to reflect the acquisition.

The group became the largest manufacturer of heat treating equipment in the world. Its product line includes: atmosphere and vacuum industrial furnaces, vacuum deoiling and advanced aqueous parts cleaning systems, aftermarket engineering services, turn key furnace installations, furnace components, and engineered ceramic components.
