1888 Isaac Nash and Sons, of Belbroughton in Worcestershire, took over Hyde Mill (an iron slitting mill, built in 1629 by Richard Foley) in Kingswinford, Staffordshire (now West Midlands). The mill survived as a spade works until about 1912 and the buildings became derelict.

1895 Report. 'no effort should be lacking on their part to find abundant employment for their workpeople at Belbroughton. They had recently purchased the old established business of Wood, Aston, and Co., tool makers, of Cradley, and they had likewise bought the well-known and very old-established business of Fussell and Co., edge tool makers, of Mells, near Frome, Somerset. Ultimately their purchase of the business would lead to a considerable addition to their Bellbroughton business. The Chairman (Isaac Nash)further proposed the toast of Mr. W. Higgs, senior clerk of the firm, with which he had been connected more than 30 years.'[1]
