c1814 Company established by the great grandfather of J. W. Higgs Walker, J.P., the principal in 1914.
1833 Dissolution of the Partnership between William Griffin Walker, Joseph Griffin Walker, and Henry Griffin Walker, as Nail-Manufacturers, at Wythemore and Derby-Hand, in the Parish of Dudley, in the County of Worcester, under the firm of Robert Walker and Sons, so far as relates to Henry Griffin Walker, who retired; the business would be carried on by the other Copartners, under the firm of William and Joseph Walker[1].
1866 John Griffin Walker, of Netherton, near Dudley, in the county of Worcester, and William George Griffin Walker, also of Netherton aforesaid, carrying on business in copartnership together as Nail Masters,, Iron Merchants, and Bolt and Nut Manufacturers, under the respective styles or firms of Joseph Griffin Walker and Son, and the Netherton Iron Company were registered as debtors by the Registrar of Bankruptcy; they were allowed to carry on their business in order to pay off the creditors[2]
1881 William George Griffin Walker, of Derby Hand, Netherton, Nail and Chain Manufacturer, died[3]
