We record with regret the death of Mr. Joseph Gardner, after a short illness at his home in Worsley.

Mr. Gardner, who was in his eighty-second year, was a founder member of the company bearing his name and was actively engaged until his recent illness in carrying out his duties as chairman and managing director of L. Gardner and Sons, Ltd., and of the subsidiary company, Norris, Henty and Gardners, Ltd.
