1922 The copartnership of J. and R. Slack, welded boilermakers, was dissolved with effect from 31st December on the retirement of George Dobbie and John Cameron Walker. The firm continued with its existing name under Thomas Slack.[1]

1948 The business was incorporated (company number SC026760) in December.[2]
